Our Story

Who We Are

ProDrive EV Labs Ltd brings electric mobility and energy engineering together in Ghana. Our focus is practical: give existing vehicles a path to electrification, and connect battery storage, charging and solar power around the needs of the people who use them.

A useful design starts with the operating conditions. For a vehicle, that means its condition, daily route, payload and access to charging. For a site, it means demand, available power and the loads that matter most during an outage.

Our ambition is a lower-carbon future with lasting local capability: systems that people can understand, maintain and support close to where they are used.

Our engineering programme spans electric powertrains, battery energy storage, charging infrastructure and solar micro-grids. We are developing these areas through documented design, prototypes and testing, with project requirements guiding each next step.

Decarbonisation starts with the whole system

Extending a vehicle's useful life takes more than replacing its engine. Battery packaging, controls, thermal management, service access and charging all need to work together. The same care is needed when integrating storage and solar with an existing building.

ProDrive EV Labs Ltd approaches these challenges as connected engineering projects. We start with a clear brief, assess the constraints and define the design and verification work needed before a system can be put into service.

Our circular-engineering approach starts with a question: what can be retained, repaired or adapted safely? A conversion can extend the use of an existing vehicle, while storage and solar integration can change how a site uses energy. The environmental outcome depends on the specific design, electricity supply and service life.

Build for the years ahead

Our work connects the first vehicle or site survey with the practical details of ownership: accessible components, documented wiring, diagnostics and a clear maintenance plan. For battery projects, we assess new or second-life modules against their condition, usable energy, protection needs and intended duty.

That approach brings mechanical design, power electronics, embedded controls and energy management into one project. We can help define a custom development brief, evaluate interfaces, build prototypes and plan the checks and handover needed for the proposed system.
